My major is Information Management(IM). And traced the reason why I choose IM is that computer is indispensable in the future and my father's suggestion.
When I graduated from junior high school, I enrolled in National Taipei College of Business(NTCB).At that time, I was too young to plan for my future. I felt bewildered that I have no idea to choose my major, so I ask my father for help. My father gave me some suggestions about how to choose the major.
He analyzed the college department to me from every aspect. He told me that the prospect of IM is brightening. It's necessary fro everyone to learn how to use the computer. It may be a common sense for future. He asked me to accumulate the skill of using computer that I can keep up with the tendency.
Besides, I surfed the Internet. I found using the computer is basic condition for work. It's very realistic problem for existence. So I thought if I choose IM as major, I will have more chances to job-hunt.
Of course I faced the same choice to choose my major when I graduated from NTCB. Different from the past time, I have clear plan and I decide to continue learning IM. Except the reasons that I told before, I developed an interest in the IM and I could handle the work of IM well. So I choose Information Management again.
Presently, I already study in IM for seven years. In my graduate school, I will do research two years more in Information management.

Why did you choose your major?

When I read the 5rd paragraph, I found out that you have a clear plan to continue learning IM. I really instereted in your plan.Do you want to be a IM professor or to do academic researches about IM? Or even another plan? Just talk about it. Because I think it's the "reason" why you chose IM again for graduate school. Right?
And you can explain why you make the plan to continue learning IM? What's the main part of IM that you really interested in?
Also I think the 2nd & 3rd paragraph can be combined to one.Because I think it said about the same thing.
Then I found out some mistakes of verb tense or something... just told you what I think(advices)
